Meet Heidi
Lifelong Washington County Resident
Heidi Gunn was born and raised in Washington County, UT and is so grateful she gets to raise her children here. She attended Dixie State College where she earned her Associates of Science degree. Heidi married Josh Gunn, and together they have eight children, three of whom are currently attending school in the Snow Canyon cone site. For the past 17 years Josh and Heidi have lived in Santa Clara and have come to love the community and people.
Heidi has spent over 17 years in local classrooms and schools serving in many capacities, including as a member of executive PTA boards and community councils. In these positions, she helped manage and allocate school trust money and spent countless hours talking to administrators, teachers and parents.
Being in the schools on a daily and weekly basis has helped Heidi establish a mutual respect among teachers and administrators and given her a first hand look at what it takes to run a school. Her experience helped her see what is happening in the classrooms and in the halls of the schools.
Committed to Washington County Schools
In addition to helping in the schools, Heidi loves spending time with her family. She loves being outdoors hiking, running, and sitting at ball games. She also enjoys reading, working in her yard and tackling a project that needs to be organized. Heidi is committed to making the schools a safe learning environment where every student can become successful. She looks forward to being the voice for the families and teachers of Washington County School District #1.
